But the most recent achievements are by our young filmmakers at the Saltire and Aspire Awards which have just been announced to an audience of over four hundred in Galashiels - fittingly at the Volunteer Hall, the scene of our young people's feature film triumph.

Yes, in the very place it was filmed representatives of our amazing team picked up the 2014 Best Arts and Media Group Award!
RACHEL CALLAGHAN
But there's more! Rachel Callaghan, who is a VOMO Ambassador and one of our first Trainee Producers has had a rough time of it for ages, and has had to spend long periods in hospital. She managed to break out to come down from Edinburgh Royal Infirmary to the Borders for the weekend, and was the worthy winner of the Inspirational Individual Award. We are absolutely thrilled for her. Well done Rachel!!
